IRS will increase standard mileage rate for last half of 2022

Beginning July 1, 2022, the standard mileage rate will increase from 58.5 cents to 62.5 cents per mile for business use of an automobile. Both rates will be used when filing your 2022 income tax return, so you will have to report first six months and last six months mileage separately.
