MA allows deduction for charitable contributions
Effective for tax years beginning on or after January 1, 2023, Massachusetts will allow a charitable deduction in an amount equal to the federal charitable deduction, excluding any amounts for contributions of household goods or clothing. Taxpayers do not have to itemize their deductions for federal tax purposes to claim the Massachusetts deduction.
